2011 Ford Edge

Soccer moms with attitude is hardly an accurate descriptor when it comes to the 2011 Ford Edge. The mid-sized SUV crossover has been refined this year with the next evolutionary step in Microsoft Sync, the MyTouch system. Gone are the days of traditional DVD or hard drive-based navigation and instead Ford has opted for a simple SD card setup with a $800 price tag. If the price tag doesn’t align with your finances, the Edge comes with Sync Services turn-by-turn navigation without the maps free for the first three years.

With 18 mpg city and 25 mpg highway, along with more high-tech wizardry than a gadget feen like myself could handle, the 2011 Ford Edge is an excellent proposition. Even if it doesn’t make your short list of SUV’s, it has certainly redefined the next-gen SUV.
