Whats better than a loading screen? Blowing up enemy space ships of course! In Star Wars: The Old Republic you’ll take control of your ship while traveling between areas of space in rail type combat, similar to games such as Star Fox. While not the free flight that some hoped for, its still better than Loading Please Wait… in my opinion. Succeeding in your mission will provide you with items that can be used in other areas of the game but the one area of space combat that is not talked about is failing to complete the mini-game.
What if your ship blows up halfway through the mission? Being stuck on a planet indefinitely because you cant complete a mini-game would be rather annoying, and getting to your destination after being blown into a million tiny bits takes away from the immersion MMO’s tend to strive for.
