Critics of the Nintendo Wii platform have long argued that the console lacks compelling titles to match the first-person shooters of the Xbox 360, alas Conduit 2. Conduit 2, a Wii exclusive, will be making an appearance at PAX 2010 this weekend, but unfortunately the actual release of the game is now delayed. According to an email exchange between Sega and High Voltage public relations, the release date of Conduit 2 has been pushed back until the first quarter of 2011 instead of November 2, 2010.
Not all of the news for Conduit 2 is grim. High Voltage has confirmed that players will be able to use their classic controllers or classic control pros to “blast the Drudge or each other in multiplayer”. The game also takes advantage of Wii MotionPlus as well as the standard Wii Remote and Nunchuck, effectively delivering a truly subversive gaming experience.
So that’s the rub folks, Conduit 2 will be delayed until 2011, but we’ll be able to save a few bucks and use classic controllers or classic control pros for multiplayer. Let us know if this will make or break your decision to purchase the game in the comments below.
