EA Sports MMA Demo for Xbox 360 and PS3

In just under three weeks, the EA Sports MMA demo will be available for XBox 360 and PS3 owners.  Starting September 28th MMA fans will have their chance to test the game prior to the October 19 release date.  Confirmed for the demo is the “Fight Now” mode where you’ll be able to play with Strikeforce Heavyweights Bobby Lashley and Alistar Overeem.  In the middleweight division you can choose from Jake Shield or Jason “Mayhem” Miller and all fights will overseen by referee “Big” John McCarthy and ring announcer Jimmy Lennon Jr.

In an effort to promote the game, EA Sports will send out a code to unlock “classic” Randy Couture in the full version of the game if you share the demo with your friends.  There’s still plenty to learn about EA Sports MMA and seeing as UFC Undisputed has already established the mixed martial arts video game standard, they’ll have some big shoes to fill.  We’ll just have to wait and find out to see if EA came to fight or if they’ll be tapping out.
