The wait is finally over my friends, the Xbox 360 will receive an update which will enable At&t U-verse set-top box functionality in early November. Unlike the current At&t set-top boxes which carry a $7 per month fee ($84 yearly), the Xbox 360 will not require the monthly rental cost (MRC). However, there are two requirements in order to make use of your Xbox 360 as a U-verse receiver. First, you will need at least one existing U-verse set-top box in the home or DVR and second, your Xbox 360 must have a hard drive. If you meet both of those requirements then hold tight for the next month and get ready from some U-verse TV on your Xbox 360.
